Your English is guaranteed to improve continuously as a result of the everyday interactions you will have with native English speakers during your stay (homestay, part-time work, new friends). In addition, you will develop invaluable skills in problem solving, leadership, teamwork and clear communication.

Australia remains the only country in the world with an accreditation system for teaching English as a second language. This system was created to maintain national standards and involves regular monitoring of performance and evaluation. When it comes to English, there is a variety of options to choose from:
 • General English – to develop oral and written communication skills for the everyday environment.
 • Academic English – to prepare students for further education such as university or vocational education training (VET).
 • Exam preparation – to prepare students for English Language exams like IELTS, TOEFL, TOEIC or Cambridge.
 • Business English – to develop oral and written communication skills for the work environment.
 • Teach English as ESOL – to prepare English speakers to teach English to others as a second language
Language courses usually start every Monday, except on public and school holidays. Students have the opportunity to attend classes in the morning or in the evening and as the study load is usually not more than 25 hours a week, most students are able to work part – time while studying. The duration of a course will depend on the individual’s circumstances and visa conditions. Your progress will be tested on a weekly basis and you will be moved to a higher level of English once you are successful.
